The long wait for nearly 4.70 lakh students in Kerala will end soon. The results of the state’s Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) for Class 10 will be announced on Wednesday.
All candidates can access their results online by 11 am, a senior officer of the State Pareeksha Bhawan said. The examination was conducted from March 9 to 23 across the state.
Usually, SSLC examination results are a major event, announced at a big function in the state capital, attended by many including the state education minister. After the announcement of results the minister calls and felicitates the high-ranking students.
But since the state is gearing up for assembly polls in May, the Election Commission code prevents officials from making it a gala function.
Last year the pass percentage was 97.99%, one of the highest in the history of the state. A similar result is expected this year also. Meanwhile, the state social welfare board has opened help/call centres to help those in distress.
